Gold currnecy has a bigger value then silver currency. 1.4.2 - Experience: Tanktastic uses an experience system. You can rank up by achieving a amount of experience. You can get experience by playing online, by kill and damage enemy tanks. You will receive experience as well for capturing control points, or deliver flags in Capture The Flag. 2: Gameplay & Tanks.
2.1 - Garage:
The garage is a main subject in Tanktastic. The garage is the place where you can selct your tanks, upgrade tank modification, ammunition, buy camouflages etc. When you enter the garage, you will have 3 different pages. The garages' start screen is the currently selected tank, the region of the tank you currently have selected, your bought tanks and statics. You can select your tank by swipe as shown in this picture: You have three Regions: NATO, Warsaw Pact and Asia. All-in-game tanks are listed here. Under the NATO catoregy, you will find all tanks from: USA, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Sweden and Italy. You can find all tanks on the Wikia as well. Click Here to go to the NATO catoregy. Under the Warsaw Pact catoregy, you can find tanks from: Sovet Union, Russia, and Ukraine. Click Here to go to Tanktastic Wikia's Warsaw Pact page. Under the Asian catoregy, you can find tanks from: China, Japan, South Korea, Isreal, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea and India. If you choose the "Upgrades" page, on the left next to the your garage start screen, you will get a list with modules of your current selected tank. You can swipe this list by swiping to the left or right. On this page are also three subpages: Modifications, ammunition and camouflages. Under the modifications, you can upgrade tanks' speed, armor, health, reload speed etc. Under ammunition, you can buy or upgrade several different ammunition types: AP – APDS – HEAT – HE – ATM. It depends on which tank you have selected for which types you can buy or upgrade. For some Main Battle Tanks is ATM (Anti-Tank Missile) not available, and for some it is. Each ammunition type has its own specialty. AP= Armor Piercing, APDS = Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot, HEAT = High Explosive Anti Tank, HE = High Explosive. The third page is thepage where you can buy or/and select your camouflage. You have different catorgies: Forest, Jungle, City, Desert, Winter, Swamp, Flags, Animals, Biathlon and Others. Under each of these are several for that type of surrounding camouflages listed. If you go back to the garages' main page, you will have a third page: Research. Here can you find tanks from all regions and their Techtree. You can buy tanks here.
2.2 - Modes & Maps:
The game Tanktastic contains different modes and maps. There are in total 4 gamemodes and 11 maps. Modes: The gamemodes are: Team Deathmatch (TDM), Deathmatch (DM), Capture The Flag (CTF) and Control Points (CP). Team Deathmatch: Team Deathmatch is one of the most played gamemodes of Tanktastic. Team Deathmatch is just like regular deathmatch, except with teams. Strategy and tactical thinking become more important here, because you need to consider both friend and enemy in your attack plans. With the right teammates, Team Deathmatch can potentially be even more profitable than any other gamemode. Here, two teams of 1-8 players go head to head. Players use a combination of skill, strategy, and superior firepower to emerge victorious. Expect to see a wide range of different tanks. Larger maps are favored here, due to their capacity for epic battle and plethora of hiding places. Deathmatch: Deathmatch is a free-for-all gamemode with no allies and only one winner. If good enough, one can earn plenty of coins this way. Shoot at everything that moves. Even the trees, they mock you. All other players will be hostile in this gamemode. Dying constantly is practically inevitable, so don't worry about that too much here. Winnings are decided by kill count, not k/d. The top five or so players in a match get lots of coins an experience. Capture The Flag: Capture the flag mode is a mode where your main goal is to capture the enemy flag and bring back to base. Each flag is located on a little pedestal somewhere in the base. The flag is red if it belongs to the enemy and blue if it belongs to you. All current maps support capture the flag mode and have them in various locations. Control Points: Each team starts out with an amount of points, like 500, 750, 1.000, 1.250, 1.500, 2.000, 2.500 or 3000 points. Players need to capture a control point, A,B or C, so that the points of the enemy become less. The control point and the flags of that point are: Red; point is capttured & controlled by enemy team. Blue; the point is caputered & controlled by your team. If the point is white coloured, means that it is not captured & not controlled by neither of the teams. Maps: Tanktastic contains eleven maps. These are: Demomap, Military, Oilfield, Wild West, Jungle, Forest, Alabino, Industrial, Village, Winter and City. Demomap: Demomap is the smallest map in Tanktastic, and a favorite for frantic deathmatch games. It was the first map ever made for Tanktastic. Slower tanks are not recommended for this map. Being Tanktastic's first ever map, Demomap is small and flat. Several hangars and assorted buildings dot the area. One thing you will notice right away is the path that surrounds the entire map. Use this to your advantage. This is a close quarter combat type map. Military: Military is a medium sized map with two main bases separated by a river. It is mostly used in CTF matches and its straightforward layout is excellent for beginner team deathmatch. This is a medium range combat type map. Oilfield: Oilfield is a larger map in Tanktastic. It features two desert towns, rocks, and some oil pumps. TDM and CTF are themost played game modes on this map. Artillery has excllent cover behind buildings, MBTs have obstacles and a open space for battles. This is a long range combat type map. Wild West: WildWest was added version 2.0. It's a somewhat small desert map with a farm, huge rocks, and cactuses. Surrounded by a valley. It's very wide open and flat. Only a few rocks and buildings provide cover. Jungle: Jungle was added in the 20a update along with Industrial. It's estimated to be twice as large as Winter, which held the previous map-size record. In the middle sits a large mountain overlooking the entire map. This is a long range combat type map. Jungle has very few protected sniping spots. The terrain is varied and keeps rising from the shore line to the many small villages. Games on this map favor tanks that take the high ground. From the picture, it's easy to see many alternate routes and small hills in the highland. On the other hand, the beach area is flat and provides no cover, but is easier to traverse. Forest: Forest is one of the larger maps in Tanktasic. The layout can be disorienting and a fog limits your view. This is a medium range combat type map, even though it feels like close quarters combat. Lots of rocks and trees and hills cover this map. Faster tanks are recommended in this map due to all the elevation changes, as it is very easy to get stuck, especially with slow tanks. Much of the fighting takes place in the lower areas, while snipers like to take the hills. Capture-the Flag gets very confusing on this map. Very few lobbies ever use the forest map for that reason. Alabino: Alabino is a tank racing and tank testing map added in 22a. It wasn't meant to be for combat, but it is slightly popular for using this map in control points. Alabino is the largest map in the game. Industrial: Industrial is a brand new map released in the 20a update along with Jungle. It's small, to say the least, and any game mode played on it turns into an absolute bloodbath. This is a close quarters combat type map. The outer ring of Industrial is lined with ridges and ditches. There are no sniping spots, no camping spots, and many places to take cover. some buildings have open doors, great places for flanking the enemy. It is easy to get stuck on the side of the train tracks, as well as running into things. Large tanks suffer in this map, for the terrain is better suited to quick, agile tanks, as it is extremely bumpy. Village: Village is a fall-themed map added in 21a. In size, it is similar to military, but has a village in the center like Winter. It looks Iike Industrial with buildings in the center and terrain all around the outer parts and is possibly based off the fields and villages of Poland during WW2. This is a close quarters combat type map. Winter: Winter is the most diverse map in Tanktastic. It has rolling hills, high mountains, a military base, static helicopers, and a small village at the bottom of a valley. This map is best at 16 player TDM. Utilizing all of its huge area is essential. This is a long range combat type map. High ground abundantly covers the outsides of the map. Look for little used pathways up the mountains, you may find a good flanking position or sniping spot. In the middle of the map is a small village. It is very easy to find cover here, because the roofs of the buildings have square hitboxes. City: City map is just a bit bigger than Demomap, but smaller than Forest based in Los Angeles due to the signs on the highway. In the middle sits an overpass that overlooks the entire map. Although it is a small map, it seems a lot bigger than it looks because of the amouts of twists and turns , also including the amounts of positions tanks could setup to ambush the unexpecting enemy armor coming thier way. This map is a favorite for Deathmatch games. Oddly, no night optics upgrades are needed when the lobby is set to night. Campers have a couple of favorite spots, and it's important to know where these are. Several alleys are perfect for ambushes and suprise attacks.
2.3 - Tanks & Upgrades:
Tanks: There are three regions in Tanktastic, NATO, Warsaw Pact and Asia. Under each region can you find tanks from that continent. NATO vehicles: Warsaw Pact vehicles: Asia vehicles:
Upgrades: You can select and upgrade tanks through the workshop option in the bottom toolbar. Players can view the benefits of upgrades before upgrading a tank. However, upgrades do increase a tank's power level. You can also view the attributes before selecting a tank. It depends on which tank you have selected for what modules you can upgrade. For some, you cannot upgrade reload speed, and for others you can. To upgrade a specific module, you might need to upgrade an other module first. These are all upgradable modules in-game: Chassis: Vehicles Chassis Upgrade. Allows Installation of more complex equipment. Engine Transmission Unit: Increased vehicles drive-ability. Increased speed and acceleration. Gun: Improves main weapon system. Effects are higher damage but less mobility. Crew safety: Increases vehicle's hit points. Charging system: Decreases main weapon system's reloading time. Effects are a higher firing rate. Turret engine: Increases turret's rotation speed. Effects are a higher Turret rotation speed. Defense: Armor upgrade. Effects are higher turret armor, higher front armor and rear armor. Reactive armor: General armor upgrade. Varies against different shells. Effects are reactive armor. Spaced armor: Increases chance to avoid penetration of a HEAT shell. Effects are spaced armor. Active protection system: Increases chance to avoid penetration of Anti-Tank Missile. Effects are Active Protection System. Radar: Increases radius of enemies detection. Effects are radar upgrade. Smoke grenade: Allows to use smoke grenades. Effects are smoke grenade launcher. Radio: Allows to use voice chat. Effects are Radio. Fording equipment: Fording equipment installation. Effects are better airsupply and underwater mobility.

Follow these steps: · Click on "Battle!". · Select online game. · Go to the page "Search". · Fill in any data or information you have. On he right side will appear your searched room. If there is no room found, it will be empty.
2.5 - Airsupport & Repair: Tanktastic is an arcade game, meaning it is not realistic on some points. Tanktastic contains repair and Airsupport boxes. These include 4 helicopters as well as 5 jet bombers. You CANNOT buy or control aircrafts. It is operated by A.I. (artificial intelligence) You must find a box similar to the health box in game that has the helicopter or jet symbol on it. Once you move into it, this will call in the aircraft. This will thenattack the opposing team, with kills going towards the team with the player who got the box. These special boxes will only be present in the capture the flag, team deathmatch and Control the point game modes. Repair boxes are here to heal your tank with an amount of HP, depending on which level you are playing. These boxes appear in every gamemode on each map. Here are the boxes:
2.6 – Basic Tactics: Tanktastics’ controls are a little hard when you are a new player. Though you probably only play low level rooms, you might come across highe rand better players. To actually make a chance against those, use the Basic tactics. Moving while you shoot is difficult. But, when you are moving, it will be harder to hit you. That is why you should always move. Even small movements can make the difference between getting hit, or dodge the shell. This tactic is hard to pull off, the tactic is best used by fast vehicles, in order to shoot on the move at a stable target shoot behind it, if the target is moving shoot in front of it. Experienced players do sometimes use the “Circle of Death” method. These methods are barely without succes, if you play a slow tank. But, as your turret and chassis both can turn, try to get your frontal armor towards the opponent. This will cause less damage and you are a smaller target. Also, try to drive backwards while turning, to “escape” from the Circle of Death. In Tanktastic, you can switch between 3rd person mode and 1st person. When you are in the 3rd person mode, you will have a wider view range. I advice to stay in 3rd person mode if you are in close combat, or if you are driving without a direct opponent against you. Zooming in will improve your accuracy, however, you will not be able to see much of what it happing around you. That is why I suggest to only use the 1st person mode if you are shooting on a target which is quite far away, or if you try to hit a specific place. Each vehicle has it own statics. Fast tanks are mainly used to capture and deliver flags, while MBT’s are used in all sort of situations. Using tanks’ character well, you can make the difference on the battlefield. Rooms have levels. Make sure you know the level of the tank which you want to join with. If your tank is almost the lowest level possible in that room, you might consider to select an other tank, or join an other game. If your tanks’ level is one of the highest possible in that room, then you should join it. If you have the smoke launcher feature equipped, this is a nice hint. The smoke will fire in the direction that your turret is facing. Use this mechanic in moments of need. Ramming is a recently added mechanic in Tanktastic. You can kill your opponent with it, but he must be on low health then. Ramming will not deal high amounts of damage, but it might turn the tide in a duel. Big and heavy vehicles will deal more ramming damage than small and light vehicles.
2.7 – Advanced Tactics: When you are ranking up, and playing higher level matches, basic tactics are quite useless. Better and more experienced players use other tactics then you do. If you want to encouter those better, then I suggest you to follow these tactics. Flanking players is a good way to take them out. Flanks and rears are mostly weakly armored. You can drive around the sides of the map to come behind them. If there is an opponent coming your way as well, try to circle around him with the speed you already have, and take the guy down. Disabling modules of enemy tanks is possible in Tanktastic. If you are in a head-to-head fight, try to shoot the enemy's gun. This one might get disabled due to that, and you are able to finish him off. You can also disable the turret, so the player can’t or barely can point his gun at you. Deal as much damage as possible. The new calculating system for rewards now counts damage instead of kills. Taking down enemy airsupport will also give you credits. When you kill an enemy, you get more credits, but for damage, you will receive a good amount as well. Play the Objective. If you play Capture Points, focus on draining enemys’ tickets to zero. It will also give you a higher reward. The best way to play the objective as good as possible, you should select the type of tank what fits good in your situation. When playing Capture the Flag, focus on capturing or defending flags. For delivering flags, or killing the flagcarrier, you will also receive a higher amount of credits. Knowing spawn positions will give you an advantage. Adapt the situation to manouvrate behind your enemy. It is also usefull to know the duration, seconds. This makes you able to know when the invulnerability is over, so you can deal damage. While Tanktastic doesn’t have armor calculators etc, shells do less damage to heavier armored parts of your tank, as example your turret. So, if you are able to cover your chassis, and peek out with your turret, shells will deal less damage. Sometimes, angling your tank could have a influence on a repel or a richoret, or it doesn’t matter.
