I love the way the sunlight is captured. one question, what's with the arrow on it's side?

That's called the Chevron marking, it's used to identify their tank unit that they belong to. It is IR reflective tape, making it easy for scanning.

Wasnt most of the friendly fire from aircraft rather than tanks?
