Hello, everybody!

Following several suggestions and encouraged by many of you, I decided to create a personal Blog.
However, since an IP.Board blog proved way too limited in terms of versatily and means at my disposal, I turned to Blogger and started working on what eventually quickly grew to be more of an ambitious project than I initially had in mind: considering the great possibilities now in my hands, I thus decided to shape the blog further, eventually covering all the main aspects under which my utter interest in anything military-related manifests itself.

As most of you probably know, I enjoy nice conversations, especially on any subjects related to military stuff; more than once have I told people about my travels, my visits to military museums, to anywhere the scars of modern conflicts are still visible for people to accept and witness; more than once have I told people about my experiences on games such as Tanktastic itself, of what I learnt; et cetera. And I was so glad to see those very people being so unexpectedly interested in what I was saying, asking for more, enjoying a conversation only limited by the indifference of time.
Yes, I was so glad: what I know, what I have seen, my knowledge, my experiences, I am more than happy to share with anyone willing to listen to me, willing to read what I write, showing to share my very own interest; knowing my passion could grow into fruits for others to take and enjoy - I couldn't ask for anything else: my passion is useless and hollow to me, if kept within, if not shared: I have no actual use for it; it would resolve itself in itself and become meaningless.

And so, when this opportunity presented itself, I took it at once: now I can share everything I know, all my experiences, with you; whatever form or shape my passion manifests itself, I am willing to share it and allow you to take as much as you can and enjoy it to the fullest.

And so, as I stated at the beginning of this post, I created my blog; with but this aim in mind: I will be covering subjects related to games - yes, even competitive projects; being an external, personal resource, it's a case similar to the YouTube contact information's: it can features competitive projects (to a limited extent, i.e. personal works involving the subject but no explicit advertising) as long as Tanktastic content is regularly featured - real-life experiences, mostly involving my travels to places of interest for military enthusiasts, namely military museums such as Saumur and Bovington, and military modelling.
These are the three main categories currently covered in my Blog; however, I do plan on improving and expanding it even further - and I do already have a couple ideas in mind.

Here you can find a direct link to the home page;

Altank's Armored Blog

Everything from there is pretty straightforward, as there is not much content yet; I am mainly testing out the concept itself. So, please, leave any feedback and constructive criticism down here or send a PM directly to me (please, remind yourself that it's a "protorype", a "rough draft"); if you like what you are seeing or how it promises to turn out in the future, feel free to share it with anyone that might also be interested in it: the more people I help out or simply brighten their day with what I write, the better: that's my purpose after all. Also, if you want to help, just let me know: even if it concerns but little matters, I would still be extremely grateful.

Now, onto another matter that natural human malice legitimately brought to the mind of most, if not all of you: will I be using Adsense? Maybe: as of now, I have no intentions to, nor have I requested an Adsense account. However, in the future, I would probably have to: I don't have much time to spare, despite how glad I would be in writing articles for you all to enjoy: time is particularly cruel and unforgiving; what little will I get out any advertisements, I will use for maintaing the Blog, exemplum gratia maybe "hiring" someone to do it depending on how things turn out in the far future, or reinvest so that I can write new articles; or, alternatively, donate it to charity.
Hence, should such an evenience occur, please, turn off Adblock or any similar programs: it costs you nothing, as I will not allow for any invasive advertisements to be inserted into my Blog: just some simple banners at the most; so that your experience might be just as enjoyable.

Also, another legitimate question that you might naturally be asking yourself: will this mean I won't be on Tanktastic as much as I was before? Yes, and no; I will explain myself: I have duties here, and it's my moral and objective obligation towards you and myself to answer their call; however, yes, I will have to give up a substiantial amount of my spare time spent on here, meaning that, for instance, you won't be seeing me in random battles or in hehe rooms that much as you used to - and you probably know that didn't happen that often. I am giving up my own "interests" and entertainment for you: I am taking, in fact, this matter very seriously, so, please, I kindly ask you to do the same.

That should be all, gentlemen; if you have any questions, just feel free to ask or, as always, send me a PM: as usual, I will answer as soon as I can.

Thank you all for the time you took to read this Topic and Best Regards;
Altank

Lastly, how long have you been working on this for?

Humble regards;

Thanks for your kind words, Iluvtanks, but it's still very rough as of now, though that is going to change very soon indeed. And also, thank you for your offer: I will definitely keep that in mind and, having seen some of your amazing works, I will contact you soon enough. ;)

In regard to your last question, I have been working on it since yesterday, after having major issues with an IP.Board blog draft, now deleted: it roughly took 3 to 4 hours; when I start writing about military stuff, it's difficult for me to stop. Haha >.<

Hello Altank,
First-off, the blog banner is from a Battlefield game, and the flames of the "afterburner" which are edited in don't go togheter at all. I may make a banner for you with the content you need, like a picture of TT and so on, the blog layout is pretty good, with the steel background etc. There actually are some things which are maybe better to change.

Although it is still a rough draft, I like it pretty much. You did a great job, Altank. And I'm pleased to see your work coming.

Thank you, drestdave

Thank you all for your feedback and constructive critism; I will contact you via PM for further details.

Also, a new article has been published on the Blog. This time I reviewed the Trumpeter Easy Model's 1:72 Sturer Emil German heavy tank-destroyer!

Link is embedded in the article's title and in the picture if you are interested in getting to know the history of this peculiar and impressive piece of German engineering and my review on the Easy Model's Sturer Emil that you can hold in your hand.

"One of the most peculiar and interesting German armoured vehicles of the Second World War, the 12,8cm Selbstfahrlafette auf VK30.01(H), also - and preferably - known as "Sturer Emil", due to frequent breakdowns, certainly represents a great addition to anyone's model collection. Let's see what Trumpeter Easy Model offers."

As always, thanks for your attention and Best Regards!

Great work on the review! This is one of my favorite German Tank-Destroyers of the World War Era.

Thank you for putting up my artwork in your blog, Altank. I'm glad I could help. Having my photo featured on the front page of your blog is awesome! :D

Altank obviously closed his site in order to work on it.
