It's not that the tanks are actually driven by zombies or something. The idea was an online co-op survival mode against bots, which is the basic idea behind the zombies gamemode in some CoD games. I did not say, "Oh wow, why not just make it tank zombies." I was making a comparison and expressing approval of the original idea.

Hence the "quotations". To be honest randy, I don't know how you did not get that direct comparison.

Excellent idea, I see you have really revved up several forum members with this proposal, and I have to say thank you. Since this section has been quite dead for a while, this really fueled it back up :)

We would first see if the developers would want to add AI controlled tanks into our normal online game, or if they want it to stay only on offline mode, which I hope not.

We already have bot controlled aircraft. If they can do that, then AI tanks aren't hard to place.

As many might think, including originally me  :truestory:  But, aircraft are flying around in the air, and tanks are rolling around on the ground. Unlike relatively simple, but strategic flying around and avoiding the occasional AA fire (possibly even a rocket, missile, or artillery shell), tanks would have to be programmed to move around on all terrains without potentially getting stuck, shoot players at the correct and effective spots on their tanks, path-find around any possible obstacle or other tanks, and many other things that normal players usually do, like deploy a smoke screen or switch ammo types. As you can see, that would be much more tedious than teaching planes to not kamikaze tanks and to actually shoot them.

Why would it matter, you're all working together against enemies that greatly outnumber you. It's like Call of Duty Zombies.

Plenty of kills to go around. Although imo getting kills would be the least of your worries.

You're right, and rather staying alive should be focused on more.

To much like Call Of Duty

Why's that a bad thing? The two games aren't very much alike, and many games have this "survival" mode with basically the same concept: fighting off enemies. Examples are Left 4 Dead, Rainbow Six: Siege, and even Minecraft.

this could violate the copyright and cause the G.O.R.E. Corp to be sued and with so manny ai it could cause lag

Trust me, it 99.99% would not cause any copyright violations of any sort at all. If this were the case, games with a "survival against enemies" would pretty much not even exist because bigger game corporations that have already thought of this idea would not allow them to make a game with said idea. Obviously this is not the case, and a mobile game would most definitely be the least of their worries if any big game development corporation were even concerned at all with other game corporations taking their ideas.

Also, AI would not cause the game to lag, as they would not affect the game's running speed as much as actual online players, as they are being controlled by the game itself, and not the players. If any AI were to cause lag, it would be the fast-flying aircraft or helicopters with their propellers spinning very rapidly. And of course, they don't.
