"Altank's Reviews" series background:
Greetings, everybody;

 

You’ve all probably heard the old quote “Knowledge is power”. That’s truer than you can ever imagine:
The original expression "ipsa scientia potestas est", meaning "knowledge itself is power", occurs in Bacon's "Meditationes Sacrae", dating back to the year 1597; while the exact phrase "scientia potentia est" was written for the first time in the 1668 version of the work "Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes, who was secretary to Bacon as a young man.

In "The Art of War", Sun Tzu, a high-ranking military general, strategist and tactician, also maintains: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.".

The Roman poet Horace, instead, in the "First Book of Letters", dating back to 20 B.C, used the Latin phrase "Sapere aude!", meaning “Dare to know!".

All these expressions, however, held the exact same meaning: the only true power is knowledge, as everything, including any achievement, is derived from it; knowledge is the only key to success.

 

 

 

 

 

"Altank's Reviews" series overview: 

Back then, just as I started playing this game; I, however, noticed that there was almost no source of information or advice about the units featured in "Tanktastic", something that would be extremely useful not just to beginners but to experienced players as well. Therefore I planned and set out an ambitious project: tank reviews aimed to hold as much informations as possible about the units of this game, as well as strategies and tips regarding how to use them and, equally, how to destroy them.

 

Being "Tanktastic" a free-to-play MMO, due to balancing reasons, even older tanks are changed overtime; as a result, the Reviews will get constantly updated: feel free to send me a PM to let me know eventual changes, strategies and tips you know and so on. And, of course, feel also free to post your suggestions and questions down below, in this very Topic.

Ehm.. maybe; they were perfect and ideal for this Topic: you are doing an amazing job as well, mate!

Really enjoy your reviews, especially the insights as to in-game use. I've got a few tanks to lend you if you're ever looking for more guinea pigs. My Challenger 2 isn't maxed and neither is my M8 AGS, but both tanks need only a few more upgrades. If you're interested, I'll buckle down and top them off.

One tank you won't need to borrow because it's so cheap is the T-54/55. That tank is almost invincible if played right. There simply isn't another tank I've got that can go on kill streaks like the T-54; earlier today I played a CTP match and would have gone 11-0, except I flipped my tank on a hill. My kill ratio isn't always as lopsided as that, but neither is that an unusual ratio. The T-54 is a steamroller once it gets going. Seriously. Buy one (if you haven't already) and give it a try. Mine is level 12, not fully maxed. The only flaw it has is painfully slow turret rotation, but the tank is more than agile enough to compensate.

I'll work on maxing my tanks most of them are ones you have not done yet my AMX-56, C1, and Stingray are nearly maxed and most of my low level tanks are maxed I'll PM you a list of my maxed tanks that you have yet to do a report on

I hope the BMPT is coming in the near future. In ctf games the are too effective and while I am getting better at running them down using a T10, but unfortunately my performance is inconsistent.

Do not ever try to hit the engine. Armor makes hitting the sides, butt and front do almost the same damage. Aim fro the tracks, and it should eventually damage them, not only making it stand still but setting it slightly off its course.

Use maxed APDS shells I figured out it rips through Russian armor like a hot knife through butter this includes the BMPT

Update will be out very soon, no sense in doing the reviews now if there is a chance that things may dramatically change in the update. Wait till after the update has been out for a bit... I imagine changes in the physics and multiple tanks getting tweaks will change the reviews quite a bit.
