what does root exactly with your phone?
It allows certain apps to interact with other apps or the operating system itself. iOS and Android normally do not allow you to directly change how the operating system works because the user (you) is not given permission to.
Say you wanted all of your app icons to be circular. You would need to use an app to get the icon files, then an image editor to change them. After that, you would need to replace the originals with the ones you made. Without root, the device wouldn't even allow you to replace the icons, let alone use a specially made app that changes them directly. (which you can do in iOS when jailbroken.)
I'm not sure, but I think newer Android versions allow you to use recording software without root anyway. iOS 9 supports recording without jailbreak, but only if it's built into the app you want to record.

do you know a good screenrecorder for IOS or android 4.3?
It's always a good idea to put a custom ROM on your device to get a newer a Android version....the native android support for screen recording was implemented with Android 5.0.
I work sometimes with scr pro to improve my tactics.

Custom rom, is a alternative system for your mobile phone which isn't created by the company who build your phone.
What do you mean with ROM, because it takes my intrests.
With a custom rom you can get newer android versions very early, useful special options but only if a custom rom for your device exist.
Which device did you use ?
