Well, the 140mm gun is very long, leading to more muzzle velocity and more accuracy. so think of a regular 120mm, then extending it about 5-6 feet and then making the shell 20mm bigger. that ,and with certain shells, will pen an armata at close range
And with the probability that the Pz87 will be Tank Destroyer being high, it will take on almost anything on the battlefield, especially TUSK
This 140mm wasnt made in the 1970s anyway it was designed and built in the 1990s, it s a modern 140 used on the newest MBT on the german tank line, the Leopard 2a7-140
And as you can see in the picture it has the armor upgrade on the turret
The Pz.87-140 also has an automatic reloading system so a 3 man crew was needed to operate the tank
Another tank similar to this one is the Leopard 2 KWS3 or the US M1 CATTB
